Plant Manager

Essential Functions: Effectively manage a high volume operation.  Refine the organizational structure at the plant level. Develop an effective team that has a clear vision of the path forward and enforce the notion of teamwork and accountability. Run the business as if you own it. Take pride in the operation and work to instill that sense of pride in the workforce. Provide a constant presence of leadership to all shifts. Develop long term mining plans for the life of the mine and oversee the daily mining activities to ensure the adherence to the long term plan. Promote the virtues of a sanitary work environment. Manage daily materials production and operating schedules for the processing facility and coordinate with shipping facility. Ensure production requirements are met or exceeded in compliance with environmental and MSHA rules and regulations. Ensure product meets quality standards throughout the process. Ensure compliance with all existing permit conditions, including records upkeep and necessary reports, and involvement in all inspections. Clearly communicate operational goals throughout the plant. Establish a system of setting goals, tracking performance, reporting performance, achieving goals and setting new ones. Generate weekly and monthly activity reports that track mining, processing, production tonnage, sales tonnage, operating efficiency, and other key performance indicators. Negotiate with suppliers for all major commodities used in the plant. Direct geotechnical activities: surveying, sampling and sand optimization. Provide site oversight and input on construction projects. Manage and direct the technical services staff including assigning engineering projects, reviewing and appraising project status, coaching, appraising and developing technical services employees. Provide oversight and scheduling of off-site personnel  for trans loading, moving, repair,  and cleaning of railcars. Ensure maximum utilization and performance of mobile and stationary equipment at lowest overall operating costs. Develop bench strength within the organizational structure. Hire and train candidates that will grow and excel in our company. Assess training needs of department personnel; initiates and follows through on appropriate training. Work with the Director of Sales to meet required customers' demands while balancing plant production. Work with the accounting staff to develop forecasts and other business models as needed. Provide accurate production data and related costs for those documents. Works closely with all supporting Departments to ensure maximum production in meeting of quality specifications in a safe and cost effective manner. Understand and coordinate between sales, production, and shipping to maximize margins and EBITDA. Constantly remain strategic, focused and visionary. Be creative, try new things, and take calculated risks with a specific end result in mind. Work well with the parent company team, and be able to accept and discuss input but be able to drive your points with logic. Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred. Production or Maintenance Management experience in sand processing facility, required. 10 years' experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, and/or mine processing. 5 years' supervisory experience. Plant start-up experience, preferred. Must possess good people skills and be capable of developing and maintaining positive relationships with managers, employees and customers. Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with strong planning skills. Proven track record for creating employee ownership of safety, production and quality, leads by example. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills--both written and oral. Proficient computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Ability to develop, implement and optimize long term mining plans. Demonstrated commitment and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to make timely, critical decisions, often under conditions of uncertainty and stress. Conveys information clearly and effectively through formal and informal communication. Extensive heavy mobile equipment operating and maintenance knowledge. Requisition ID : 1501

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
